There are places that capture your heart with their charm and stay in your memory because of how they made you feel. That is how we want you to remember “Dios Está Bien”—our small guesthouse on Calle San Roque, one of the loveliest streets in Peñíscola’s Old Town, just steps away from Papa Luna Castle.
This house was born from a dream: Guido’s vision of a place where the pleasures of Mediterranean life could be shared. After three years of meticulous renovation, an old house was transformed into a guesthouse full of character, with passion and affection evident in every corner.
Ten years later, Miia and Xavi arrived; they had fallen in love with the guesthouse while staying there as guests. For eleven years, they cared for it with dedication and left a very special mark: their varied, homemade breakfasts, which are now an integral part of the “Dios Está Bien” identity.
And as for us—how could we not fall in love with it too? We fell for the house, its history, and that warm, personal way of making everyone who walks through the door feel good. We took the reins, excited to nurture this legacy and add our own touch: a homey spirit, the joy of being helpful, and an eye for the little details that make you feel truly cared for.
Guido’s coffee still fills the mornings with its aroma, and we continue to bring to life the breakfasts Miia and Xavi left us: homemade, varied, and prepared with love, ensuring each morning becomes a highlight of your stay. We put the same affection and dedication into them as we do into caring for the house itself.
